The Pressure Is All Mine

Logo image for blog titled Bob's Blood Pressure

I’m a hypertensive guy who has spent a good part of my life managing blood pressure through medications, exercise, diet … you name it … all with varying degrees of success. Regular BP checkups with my doctor produce readings ranging from good to cautionary. Fortunately, I’ve been able to avoid … for now … the danger levels encountered when my hypertensive condition was first diagnosed.

This blog, however, is not dedicated to strategies for maintaining a healthy blood pressure. I’ve decided to reference my writings metaphorically to blood pressure and its impact on the body from both internal and externals forces and influences.

Our nation is that body. Each of us represents a cellular piece of its structure. And every day we deal with … and cope with … impacts to its functionality from forces within and without.

Let’s face it … we’re deluged with information these days . We see it, We hear it. We read it. Each piece we consume generates immediate reaction: a smile, furrowed brow, or angry growl. I firmly believe that these reactions strongly influence our internal pressure … be it for a moment or longer.

That’s why I assign a Current Reading status to each blog post – Danger, Caution and Happy Place – to reflect such reaction based on it’s content.

I invite you to read my observations, insights and opinions presented in this blog regarding the issues and individuals that are driving my latest blood pressure readings,
